How to locate Tektone License info

NC475 Tek-CARE Appliance Server (desk or rack version) and the Tek-CARE ConfigTool (LS450/ConfigTool Live). Assumes you have authorized access to the customer’s network and permission to touch the NC475.

Collecting license information from a TekTone NC475

Prerequisites

  • Technician with admin access to facility network and permission to access the NC475.

  • Laptop on the same facility LAN / subnet as the NC475.

  • TekTone ConfigTool Live (LS450 / “ConfigTool”) installer — downloadable from the NC475’s web page. (TekTone Production)

Procedure — step-by-step

1) Locate NC475 facility IP and front-panel info

  1. Go to the NC475 front panel (or have an on-site tech do this). Scroll to Main Menu then look for Facility IP. Record the IP. (The manuals show the Facility IP is available in the NC475 UI.) (TekTone Production)

  2. Photograph or note the unit’s model/serial printed on the chassis label.

2) Access the NC475 web page and download ConfigTool Live (if you don’t already have it)

  1. From your laptop, browse to the NC475 Facility LAN IP (http://<facility-ip>). The NC475 page hosts the ConfigTool Live (LS454/LS450) download link. Download the ConfigTool Live installer. (TekTone Production)

3) Install and run ConfigTool Live; connect to the NC475

  1. Install the ConfigTool on your programming laptop. Close other Tek-CARE software while installing.

  2. Open ConfigTool Live and enter the NC475 Facility IP to connect. The ConfigTool enumerates the NC475 and connected modules. (TekTone Production)

4) Export or capture supporting evidence

  • Take clear screenshots of: NC475 Main Menu → Facility IP, Help / License / System Version screen, and ConfigTool Utilities → License screens.

  • If ConfigTool offers an export or save feature for system info, export and securely save the file (filename, date). (If unsure, capture full screenshots.) (TekTone Production)

Troubleshooting / common issues

  • Can't reach NC475 from laptop: check that your laptop is on the same subnet as the Facility LAN IP. The NC475’s Tek-CARE network defaults to 192.168.1.xxx and may conflict with facility LAN; if there’s a subnet conflict, change your laptop’s interface to the NC475’s subnet or adjust network settings per the manual. (TekTone Production)

  • ConfigTool won’t connect: confirm you entered the correct Facility IP and that firewall/AV on the laptop isn’t blocking the ConfigTool. Download the ConfigTool directly from the NC475 web page when possible. (TekTone Production)

  • No license info shown: the appliance may not have license files installed (some features are licensed per module). Capture screenshots and collect LS SKU references from purchase/previous quotes if available; contact TekTone for license reconciliation. (TekTone Production)
